Development and Alteration of Temperate Rainforests
Human Impact:
Temperate rainforests are prone to destruction such as logging and land clearing for agricultural and urban development. This kind of advancement has ruined many habitats for organisms. However, efforts are being made to return the forests to the best possible condition and returning it to its former state. Residents are searching for more and more natural resources to exploit. By doing this, they are clearing the shelters of other plants and animals. Recreation and tourism also have a part in harming the ecosystem. Although some bring awareness to environmental issues, they cleared out the homes of many animals. (18) (1)

Predictions for the future of Cradle Mountain- Lake St. Clair National Park:
With the rate of progress and human development, there is always going to be a threat against less superior species. Programs are in line to protect this park and the organisms in it. Hopefully, we can keep these critters safe. Through research and funding, a cure for the Devil Facial Tumor Disease may be created. Once there is a cure, we can start treatment and rehab for these endangered animals. Population sizes will go up, but then the other organisms will have to adapt to the new changes. We can only hope that the park is in good hands.
